HMS Excellent, Whale Island, Portsmouth
Take M275 motorway into Portsmouth. Take first exit and follow signs to ferryport. Travel down exit ramp until you reach the island under the motorway. Continue to follow directions to ferryport - this takes you round the roundabout under the motorway. At the fourth exit of the roundabout proceed westwards a short distance and then head north along Whale Island Way. Follow road as it bears left after several hundred metres and you will see the gatehouse to HMS Excellent ahead.
Please note that this is a naval establishment and strict security procedures will have to be observed. The gatehouse will issue you with a parking permit and provide directions.
