What is the "Single System"?
English Hockey has embarked on a visionary approach to co-ordinate and streamline development of Hockey. This is called the "Single System" and establishes a development path from Grass Roots to International level.

Havant is an integrated element of the Single System
Havant hosts the Junior Development Centre and Junior Academy Centre activities as well as having close links with the Junior Regional Performance Centre at Winchester and 
National Performance Centre hosted by the University of Portsmouth together with the University of Southamption and Southampton Solent University.

Havant has long established relationships with the South Coast National Performance Centre, particularly with the University of Portsmouth which is in close proximity to the club. A significant number of University Students over the years have played in the National League with Havant. For students considering going to Portsmouth University the following documents which explain the NPC and the facilities available on the South Coast should be of interest. |
Under 18 Development
Havant already hosts Junior Development Centre and Junior Academy Centre activity, and provides cosching support to the Junior Regional Performance Centre at Winchester (Trojans). The following diagram shows the player pathway - further details can be obtained from the EH link shown earlier.
