A well played game of hockey by the u14 Div 2 boys resulted in a very large score of 16 from Havant to only 1 from New Milton.

The score hides the fact that New Milton worked hard and kept playing right to the end, but having won the ball New Milton gave it away too easily. Havant did a very good job of passing the ball around the team and won because most of the time Havant kept in shape and made short easy passes to the next player. The players obviously listened to the talk before the game and at half time, as there was almost no dribbling in the middle of the pitch until just before half time, and then again none until close to the end of game. Altogether 7 different boys scored, with the defence playing their part in taking the ball from New Milton and moving it quickly through the midfield to the front. Well done.

This was the last u14 Division 2 league game of the season for Havant, so they finish with 18 points from 6 wins and 2 losses. That puts the team 1 point behind Trojans on 19 points (who have played all their matches), and at the moment level with Woking. However Woking have won all their games so far and still have two to play. The 33 u14 and u12 boys who have played in the team this season should feel very pleased with a well-played season.
