HAVANT ESCAPE RELEGATION |
| Havant
escaped
relegation from National Division one of Maxifuel Super Sixes
at Lilleshall National Sports Centre. Travelling to Lilleshall on the day and spending two days playing four games required real organisation for the team, and a real awareness of competition at a good level. There were no rewards at the end of the first weekend, finding themselves without points just above Stourport on goal difference, who were bottom. |
Four
more
games on the second weekend, and Havant had time to really think
about, and then came back to seriously do something about it, a time to
regain their morale. It says much for their courage to fight their way clear of relegation, despite having games against eventual league winners Loughborough and second placed Doncaster, both gaining promotion to Premier League. Having to fight back into Division one was not a prospect |
