Havant's
performance improved in the National Premier Indoor in the high quality
surroundings in the sports hall of the University of the West of
England, that were very much 'all shipshape and Bristol fashion'.
Havant got only one point from the competition, but the
atmosphere was much fresher than Fleming Park, and the 'Village shop'
carrying a good supply of food.
These supplies were very much needed over a long day which
started with a first game at 1230, and the third and penultimate game
of the competition played early evening at 1900, with their final game
on the following day.
Submitted to this schedule is a learning curve in its own right,
something to which I learned at British Cycling's National Track
Championships for a ten year period, with eating times very important.
