I thought
you might be interested to know that our under 18 men's team were in
National Knock Out Cup action against Surbiton this morning at Havant
College. Surbiton have an envious junior section at their club, with a
section three times larger than at Havant.
Our team contained no less than 5 England junior Internationals and the
remainder of the squad were highly talented individuals who together
played some very attractive attacking hockey. We defeated Surbiton 6-0
and dominated the game from start to finish.
I make mention of this triumph as the financial support from sponsors
and patrons support an environment in which we can develop young hockey
players to fulfil their ambitions. I was extremely proud of the team
today and if they play to their potential in future rounds they have
every chance of going a long way in this competition.
