The Bees continued their unbeaten start to the league season with fine win over local rivals Portsmouth. However it was not without cost, on a bone hard pitch, several players were left with injuries and Havant will hope they will be fit for next weekend. It was Portsmouth who took an early lead when a mishit shot from a short corner deceived the Havant defence, however The Bees were soon on level terms with a rare goal from Athers. The scoreline stayed the same until shortly before half time when Havant scored twice in a matter of minutes. First from Gooba and then a short corner strike from Russ Seton. As the game progressed Havant became more dominant and it was no surprise when Russ added his second and Havant's fourth from a Kev Davies assist. Potts made it 5-1 before Russ completed his hat-trick. Despite the win, The Bees have dropped to 2nd in the league behind Trojans on goal difference.
