Match Day Presenter Opportunity

We're looking for a Match Day Presenter for the Men's 1st team games this season.

You've seen what all those sports presenters earn at the BBC. Fancy a career in sports broadcasting? Fancy a career change? Imagine what they all must earn at Sky, BT Sport and ITV.

Well maybe, just maybe, Havant Hockey Club could be the starting point for your new career. With the return of the men's first team to the National League, we want to bring a little pizzazz, a dash of razzmatazz and showbiz to all their league and cup matches at Havant College. With that in mind we’re on the look out for a new Match Day Presenter.

You’ll announce the teams, confirm the scorers and update the crowd on those taking a rest in the ‘sin bin’. After that the role is yours to shape. What music will you use to build up the atmosphere or at key moments - after goals, the countdown to restarts? What do you want to do at half time? What about after the game? Interview the man of the match? Talk to the coaches and managers?

If this sounds like a challenge you want to take on, here's what you need to do next.

Simply record a video of you introducing the Havant team immediately before the start of a match and count down to push back.

Plus tell me why you are the best person for the role.

Send a link for the video to my email address which is

The deadline date for entries is 31 August 2017.

The role is open to all members and friends of Havant Hockey Club. There is no age or gender restriction - if you're good enough, you're old enough.

The role is purely voluntary and you will need to commit to all home league matches (see the club website for dates) and any home EH Cup games. In addition you will be able to call upon the services of an experienced sports broadcaster in our ranks for support and guidance.

Good luck
