Havant Granted Talent Academy Licence

Big news for the club and local hockey – Havant HC have been granted the licence to run the South Coast Talent Academy, taking over from the England Hockey-led programme at Trojans.

For those familiar with the old Player Pathway for talented young players, Talent Academies have replaced Performance Centres. They are aimed at the those players in the 15 to 18 age groups that are demonstrating the potential to play at the highest levels of the game.

Over the summer months the club will be working hard with the clubs and schools that sit within the South Coast area to set up the South Coast Talent Academy ready for trials at the start of the 2023/24 season.

Although Havant is the lead club for the Talent Academy, we very much want this to be a collaborative operation to provide the most promising young players in the area with a hockey learning environment that enables them to be the best they can.
