The Men’s 1st XI will host Chichester Men on Thursday (25th), PB 2015.
The club have also signed two current South African U21 players for the second half of the season.
Damian Knott, 20yrs old from Cape Town, has 21 caps for South Africa U21s. Played in the Sultan of Johor and Junior World Cup tournaments in 2023. Plays as a central midfielder, attacking or defending. He has arrived and will play this week.
Our second South African recruit is Ayakha Mthalane.
Also 20yrs old with 21 caps for South Africa U21s, he is also the vice-captain of that team. Played in the Sultan of Johor and Junior World Cup tournaments in 2023. A high-energy box-to-box midfielder, he has been a representative teammate of Damian’s since U16s.
He arrives next week.
The M1s’ league campaign resumes on Sunday February 4, with a home game against Teddington. With four points from their last three games and an injection of new blood, the signs are promising for the back half of the season.
